Alpine Anglers Accomplishments, Projects, and Fisheries
Support of native cutthroat trout recovery programs in Rocky Mountain National Park has been a major focus of Alpine Anglers. We have provided much of the volunteer effort needed by U.S. FIsh and Wildlife Service (USFWS) biologist Chris Kennedy to survey fish populations throughout the park. In 2008, we were awarded a USFWS Regional Director's Award for our contributions to this program.
The program continues—and you can help. There are volunteer opportunities throughout the summer. To be notified of opportunities, contact us at our chapter email alpineanglers.TU@gmail.com. We’ll add you to our volunteer list and notify you when we need help.
